Creative Cape Town

Creative Cape Town communicates, supports and facilitates the development of the creative and knowledge economy in the Central City of Cape Town. The key aim is to facilitate dynamic partnerships in the central city, in line with the goals of the central city development strategy, to make the central city into a leading centre for knowledge, innovation, creativity and culture in Africa and the South.

Creative Cape Town incorporates Cape Town Partnership, a development facilitation agency focused on the mobilisation, coordination and alignment of public, private and social resources. Our mandate is to develop, manage and promote Cape Town Central City as a leading centre for commercial, retail, residential, cultural, tourism, education, entertainment and leisure activities.

Creative Week CT

Creative Week Cape Town showcases creativity in design, music, film, digital media, fine arts and crafts in Cape Town.I n 2010, its inaugural year, Creative Week CT ran from 24 September to 3 October.

As its principle field journalist in 2010, I covered a selection of creative events together with photographer Yasser Booley. The pieces were published on- site and represented in social media.
