Empire : 2008 - a Maverick media, arts and culture magazine
Empire Magazine
offers an interrogative and refreshing take on SA arts, media and culture. It would rather you stepped on its toes to reach for a truth than kept the peace with politically correct pussyfooting. A spade is not a spade, after all, until you dig it.
Chimurenga is
- the name of pre-independence uprisings in colonial Zimbabwe
- the name of a music movement that arose from the uprisings
- a general term for the struggle for justice.
Chimurenga is also
